Votes cast by day

Early votes in person and mail ballots returned, by date. 2022 and 2024 are lined up by days before Election Day, so each point compares the same stage of early voting (all three years started early voting on a Monday). The 2022 and 2024 lines are countywide, from the Texas Secretary of State; Collin County doesn't post rosters for past elections, so they don't appear when a ZIP is selected. Mail ballots are dated by the day the county received them, and the county's list runs a day behind the early-vote list. Hover or tap for each year's numbers.

Ballots by ZIP code

Hover or tap a ZIP for its numbers; tap again to filter the dashboard to it.

ZIP shapes are 2020 Census ZIP Code Tabulation Areas, trimmed to the county line, with major freeways and tollways for reference (DNT is the Dallas North Tollway, PGBT the George Bush Turnpike), so ZIPs that cross into Denton, Dallas, Grayson or Hunt counties show only their Collin part. Early voters are placed by the ZIP on their roster address; mail voters, and past elections, by the ZIP that holds most of their precinct's early voters. ZIPs with few ballots can show extreme shading.

Ballots by the lean of the voter's precinct

Collin County's rosters don't show party, so this groups precincts by how they voted in the March 2026 primaries: the Democratic share of all primary ballots cast there (Strong R under 35%, Lean R 35–50%, Lean D 50–65%, Strong D 65% and up). Countywide, 48% of March primary ballots were Democratic. Bars show each group's share of ballots so far, and of an estimate of 2024 at the same point; the lines below say how each group's pace compares with 2024. These describe neighborhoods, not individual voters.

ZIP codes

Every ZIP with at least 25 ballots in 2026, most ballots first. Tap a row to filter the dashboard to it. Turnout is the share of registered voters who have voted so far; Dem % and Rep % are the Democratic and Republican shares of the ZIP's March 2026 primary ballots (the neighborhood, not these voters).

Up to 25 county voting precincts by ballots cast. Each precinct sits in one ZIP here: the ZIP where most of its early voters live. vs 2024 is an estimate (the precinct's final 2024 early and mail totals scaled to the county's same-point share); Dem % and Rep % are the Democratic and Republican shares of the precinct's March 2026 primary ballots. A high mail count usually points to a senior-living community.

How this was built

Sources: Collin County's early-voting roster for Oct 19 through Oct 26, 2026 (the first eight days of early voting) and its list of mail ballots returned, for the Nov 3 general, from the Elections Department's Election Rosters page. A voter on both lists counts once, as an early voter, and a voter listed twice on the early-vote roster counts once. Mail ballots are counted by the date the county received them. The Texas Secretary of State's early-vote report showed far fewer Collin early votes for these days than the county's roster (about 18,500 versus 244,800), so the county's roster is used.

Collin County doesn't post rosters for past elections, so every comparison with 2022 and 2024 rests on counts, not voters. Countywide, same-point figures for 2022 and 2024 come from the Secretary of State's early-voting archive: early votes through the first eight days (Oct 28, 2024; Oct 31, 2022) plus mail ballots received by then. For a ZIP or precinct, 2022 and 2024 are estimates: each precinct's final early and mail totals from the county's official results, scaled to the share of the county's final total that had come in by this point (about two-thirds of the 2024 early vote and three-fifths of its mail). That assumes each area voted on the county's schedule; areas that vote early or late will read high or low.

Early voters are placed in ZIPs by the address on the roster. Mail voters have only a precinct on the county's list, so they, and each precinct's past totals, are placed in the ZIP where most of the precinct's 2026 early voters live; about one precinct in eight has more than a tenth of its early voters in a second ZIP. Precinct numbers are matched across years as published; about 25 precincts were redrawn or split for 2026, mostly in fast-growing areas, so a ZIP's 2024 estimate can be off where a redrawn precinct crosses ZIP lines. Registration by ZIP is March 2026 registration by precinct, scaled to the county's 788,729 registered voters for November. South Collin is the 15 ZIPs that sit mostly south of the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121) and west of Lake Lavon: Plano, Richardson, Allen, Murphy, Wylie, Sachse and the Collin parts of Dallas.

There is no party breakdown of voters: Collin's rosters don't show which primary anyone took, and its primary rosters aren't online. Lean is a neighborhood measure: the Democratic share of all ballots cast in a precinct's March 2026 Democratic and Republican primaries (48% countywide). Party colors follow each party's logo: Democratic blue and Republican red.
